Purification and recharging:

Purification:

Opal can be purified by cleaning it with demineralized or spring water. To preserve the jewelry setting, we recommend fumigation instead with a stick of palo santo or with white sage. Light the palo santo or sage and pass your jewelry over the smoke released. Don’t forget to air out the room well after fumigation.

Recharging:

Opal can be recharged by placing it in a quartz geode, on a quartz cluster or an amethyst druzy. To prevent the geode or druzy from scratching the opal, it’s best to place it on a small square of soft cloth. It can also be placed on a Flower of Life plate.
