Purpose of processing
The sole proprietorship ODIN MINERAUX’s main activity is distance selling of jewelry and minerals.
As part of this activity, we publish and operate a website at [odinmineraux.fr].
The data we collect as part of our activity is recorded and processed in customer files.
These files allow us to:
- Manage orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Manage the website’s features.
- Provide customer support.
- Carry out marketing activities (loyalty, promotions) and send advertising about our business and new products by email and SMS to our customers who have not objected to it or who have agreed to it.
Legal bases for processing
- Order management: the legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the European General Data Protection Regulation).
- Sending marketing communications by email and SMS: the legal basis for processing is consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the European General Data Protection Regulation), as required by Article L. 34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code.
- Analysis and marketing activities (improving the service according to our customers’ preferences, needs, and usage; conducting surveys with our customers; producing statistics on website traffic; assessing the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns): the legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the European General Data Protection Regulation), namely improving our services and adapting them to our customers’ needs and usage.
- Accounting, which involves keeping data for a period of 10 years: the legal basis for processing is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) of the European General Data Protection Regulation).
- Retention of any contract concluded with a consumer electronically for 10 years: the legal basis for processing is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) of the European General Data Protection Regulation).
Data categories
- Identity: last name, first name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, internal processing code enabling customer identification, data relating to registration on opt-out lists.
- Order-related data: transaction number, order details, order amount, data relating to payment of invoices (payments, unpaid amounts, discounts).
- Data relating to payment methods, depending on the payment method chosen.
Data recipients
- Our customer service and billing departments receive all categories of data.
- Our marketing department receives identity and order-related data.
- Our delivery service providers receive identity and order-related data.
- On our website, our payment service provider receives data relating to your payment methods.
Data retention period
- Data needed to manage orders, contracts, and billing: for the entire duration of the business relationship and ten (10) years to meet accounting obligations.
- Data needed to carry out loyalty actions and marketing prospecting: until the customer unsubscribes.
- Data relating to payment methods: we do not store this data; it is deleted immediately once the amounts due have been paid.
- Data concerning opt-out lists for receiving marketing: three (3) years.
Your rights
If you no longer wish to receive advertising from us (exercise of the right to object or withdrawal of consent already given), contact us by email or by post.
