Amethyst can be cleansed by running it under water for a few moments. To protect the jewelry setting, we recommend fumigation instead with a palo santo stick or white sage. Light the palo santo or sage and pass your jewelry through the smoke. Don’t forget to air out the room well after fumigating.

Recharging:

Amethyst can be recharged by placing it in moonlight for a few hours. It can also be placed in a quartz geode or on a quartz cluster (druzy). Warning! Prolonged exposure of amethyst to sunlight is not recommended. Amethyst is sensitive to strong light and intense heat, which can alter the stone’s color.
