Amber is a fossil resin used for millennia. In many cultures, it is traditionally used as an anti-inflammatory to relieve baby teething, back pain, and rheumatism.

In the East, amber is used to make sacred rosaries. Monks use them during meditation sessions to reach a state of clairvoyance.

In traditional Chinese medicine, amber (Hu Po) is used to soothe nerves, reduce anxiety, and fight insomnia.

Purification and recharging:

Cleansing:

Since amber does not hold negative energy, it does not need to be purified. However, if you wish, you can briefly rinse it under water or rub it with a damp cloth.

To preserve the necklace string, we recommend smudging with a palo santo stick or white sage. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass your jewelry over the smoke. Remember to ventilate the room well after smudging. Do not smudge in the presence of the baby.

Recharging:

Amber can be recharged in sunlight by placing it for a few hours in a room bathed in light. It is best to avoid direct exposure to high heat which could damage the organic rock.

Amber can also be placed in a quartz geode or on a quartz cluster.
