Jade Gua Sha

The Gua Sha was originally a traditional Chinese medicine tool used to rub the body to eliminate toxins and relieve muscle inflammation.

It is now used to stimulate micro-circulation and firm the face.

Massaging with a Gua Sha is very simple. After applying your day or night cream, use the Gua Sha to facilitate product penetration and absorption. Apply light pressure and slide the edge of the Gua Sha from the inside outwards. Smooth each area of the face. Repeat 3 to 5 times.

The heart-shaped part of the Gua Sha is placed along the jawline to sculpt the facial oval. Start from the chin and slide the Gua Sha up to the ear.

For a decongestant effect, you can place your Gua Sha in the refrigerator an hour or two before use.

This facial massage has a soothing effect and helps combat skin sagging. Daily use is recommended.

Jade can be green, yellow, white, reddish, or purple. In traditional Chinese medicine, jade is known to stimulate kidney energy.

In prehistoric times, jade was used to make arrowheads and sharp tools.

Green Chinese Jade:

Nephrite Jade:

Nephrite jade is a variety of jadeite belonging to the actinolite group. It is the best ally for compulsive shoppers. It curbs and rationalizes desires. It gives strength and courage, increases determination, and stimulates expression. It helps fight fears and promotes action.

White Jade:

White jade stimulates vital energy. It aids decision-making by removing distractions to focus on what is essential.

Held in the hands, a tumbled jade stone helps to clear the mind and recharge.

It can be placed under the pillow for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Lavender Jade:

Cleansing and recharging:

Purification:

Jade can be purified by rinsing it under running water. It can also be purified by fumigation with a palo santo stick or with white sage. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass the Gua Sha through the smoke. Remember to ventilate the room well after fumigation.

Recharging:

Jade can be recharged in sunlight or moonlight. It can also be placed in a quartz geode, on a quartz cluster or an amethyst druse.
