Garnet is widespread throughout the world. It was once used as an abrasive to polish other stones such as jasper or agate.

Garnet belongs to the silicate group, which are minerals rich in silica and oxygen. More specifically, it is classified in the garnet family, which includes minerals with a cubic crystal structure.

Purification and recharging:

Purification:

Garnet can be purified by placing it under running water for a few minutes. To preserve the bracelet’s elastic, it is better to purify it by smudging with a palo santo stick or with white sage. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass the stone/jewelry over the smoke. Don’t forget to ventilate the room well after smudging.

Recharging:

Garnet can be recharged by placing it in the sun for a few hours.

It can also be placed in a quartz geode, on a quartz cluster, or a selenite plate.
