In the Roman Empire, gladiators wore tiger’s eye during battles for protection and to increase their strength. In the Middle Ages, popular beliefs attributed it the power to ward off evil spirits and vampires. All stones traditionally called “eye” mean “guardian.” Tiger’s eye is above all a stone of protection. It sends negative energies back to their sender. It is traditionally placed at the entrance of the house to protect and repel negative waves.

It strengthens courage and self-confidence.

Tiger’s eye stimulates the solar plexus chakra. It provides energy, helps reduce stress, and promotes concentration.

Cleansing and recharging

Cleansing:

Tiger’s eye can be purified by soaking it in water for a few hours. It can also be purified by fumigation with a palo santo stick or with white sage. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass the stone over the smoke produced. Remember to ventilate the room well after fumigation.

Recharging:

Tiger’s eye can be recharged in the sun or by placing it in a quartz geode, on a quartz cluster, or an amethyst druse. You can also use a flower of life plate.
