Under the Roman Empire, gladiators wore tiger’s eye during combat to protect themselves and increase their strength. In the Middle Ages, popular beliefs attributed it the power to chase away evil spirits and vampires. All stones traditionally called “eye” mean “guardian.”

Tiger’s eye is above all a protection stone. It reflects negative energies back to their source. It is traditionally placed at the entrance of the house to protect and ward off negative waves.

Cleansing and recharging

Cleansing:

Tiger’s eye can be purified by soaking it in water for a few hours. It can also be purified by fumigation with a palo santo stick or with white sage. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass the stone over the smoke released. Don’t forget to ventilate the room well after fumigation.

Recharging:

Tiger’s eye can be recharged in the sun or by placing it in a quartz geode, on a quartz cluster, or an amethyst druse. You can also use a flower of life tray.
