Mangano Calcite, also called manganiferous pink calcite, forms in hydrothermal environments, where calcium- and manganese-rich solutions slowly precipitate in rock cavities. This geological process, sometimes spanning several million years, creates soft crystals in shades ranging from pale pink to candy pink, characteristic of the presence of manganese.

Purification and recharging

Cleansing:

You can cleanse mangano calcite by running it under water for a few minutes. You can also cleanse it by fumigating with a palo santo stick or with white sage. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass the stone over the smoke released. Don’t forget to air out the room well after fumigation.

Recharging:

Mangano calcite can be recharged in moonlight or sunlight. It discharges quickly and therefore needs frequent recharging. If you recharge it in sunlight, avoid exposing it to overly intense direct light. You can simply place it in a bright room.

It can also be placed on a quartz cluster or a selenite plate.
