Carnelian can be cleansed by running it under water for a few minutes. You can also cleanse it by smudging with a palo santo stick or with white sage. Light the palo santo or sage and pass the crystal over the smoke. Don’t forget to air out the room well after smudging.

Recharging:

Carnelian can be recharged by placing it in the sun for a few hours.

If the crystal is small, it can also be placed in a quartz geode, on a quartz cluster, or an amethyst druse.
