Cleansing:

Lapis Lazuli can be purified by placing it under running water for a few minutes. Never soak lapis lazuli in salt water, as it will alter its color. To preserve the jewelry setting, we recommend fumigation with a palo santo stick or white sage instead. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass your jewelry over the smoke. Remember to ventilate the room well after fumigation.

Recharging:

Lapis Lazuli is best recharged by moonlight. It can be placed for a few hours in a sun-drenched room. Avoid any direct exposure to the sun, which would alter the stone’s color.

It can also be placed in a quartz geode, on a quartz cluster, or an amethyst druse.
