A medieval tradition claims that the Holy Grail was carved from a gigantic emerald, torn from Lucifer’s forehead by the archangel Michael during his fall. This precious stone, fallen to Earth, was later found and offered to King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.
It was then carved into the shape of a chalice, passed on to Nicodemus, then to Joseph of Arimathea.

Purification and recharging:

Jewelry purification:

Emerald can be purified by running it under water for a few minutes. However, to preserve the setting of necklaces, we recommend instead smudging with a palo santo stick or with white sage. Burn the palo santo or sage and pass your jewelry through the smoke released. Don’t forget to ventilate the room well after smudging.

Recharging:

Emerald requires infrequent recharging. It can be recharged by placing it in the sun for a few hours.

It can also be placed in an amethyst geode, on a quartz cluster (druse) or on a selenite plate.
